About the artist

Martin has a passion for drawing and painting weathered countryside and coastal scenery outdoors; as well as rural crafts, traditional buildings, industrial archaeology and machinery, agriculture and fishing boats. 

Many of these are fast disappearing, yet in some cases, such as with traction
engines, are being sympathetically restored. His paintings, drawings and etchings explore a wide range of traditional and experimental techniques using a variety of media.
